Welcome to the hAQUAthon 2018Participants will arrive at The Compound, and once registered can grab a coffee or tea before the event kicks off
09.30 – 10.00Welcome to hAQUAthon 2018 from decisionLab and Artesia ConsultingDavid Buxton, Managing Director-decisionLab will outline the concept of the event followed by Artesia Consulting to elaborate on the challenges ahead in the industry
10.00 – 10.15Concise overview of the three challenges from Affinity Water and Water & Sanitation for the
Urban Poor
Speakers from both companies to outline the data sets and any caveats

10.15 – 10.30How the judging will work and what is on offer for the winners and the £1,000 prize fund from Artesia ConsultingDave Buxton from decisionLab and Artesia Consulting
10.30 – 12.30Teams start work on the challenges and split into their groups or form teamsPeople can work in the groups they are registered with, or if they have registered as single attendees can find other teams members to work alongside
12.30 – 13.30A working lunch will be served for all the attendees
13.30 – 17.00Teams continue with the hacking work and can ask for further clarification and assistance from the sponsors and partnershAQUAthon teams will work until 17.00 on the data supplied. Mentors and experts will be on-hand for any questions and guidance. Brain food and drinks will also be supplied!
17.00 – 18.30Drinks and discuss the day. After a good day’s work, a chance to relax with drink and chat to others

13.30 – 15.30Afternoon session to continue hacking and prepare pitches to judges
15.30 – 16.30Pitches – teams pitch to the panel of judges and other participants.Each team will be given 5 minutes to illustrate their solution however they wish the problem, solutions, benefit and business opportunitiesMentors will check that the presentations will be ready for the pitch at the end of the day and assign a number for the running order
16.30 – 16.45Judging panel meet and community vote. Drinks and relax before the winners are announced
16.45 – 17.00After deliberation judges will review and select the winners from all the submissionsBest awards presented by partners to winning teams
